WORK WEEKEND 2015

FLATHEAD LAKE

UNITED METHODIST CAMP

Camp Supporter,

Mark your calendars – May 1st, 2nd, and 3rd –

the dates for Work Weekend 2015.

Greetings from Camp!
Every year, Flathead Lake United Methodist Camp has United Methodist
Work Weekend the first weekend of May. And all of YOU help the camp
get ready for the campers. THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT.
So gather your tools, expertise, and enthusiasm. Join us for a weekend
of work, fellowship, song, laughter and great food at a place we have all
come to love and share – Flathead Lake United Methodist Camp.

Outside work includes removing accumulated debris from around
cabin foundations and off roofs, burning slash, cutting fire wood from the
hazardous trees, installing new volleyball poles and net, bat proofing some cabins,

cleaning out and replacing rain gutters, landscaping and filling in some paths
with new gravel. IF we all get energetic we might build a new backstop
for the baseball field!

For those of you that prefer to improve the inside of buildings, the camp
has multiple cleaning tasks to make the camp ready for the campers,

including fixing up the classrooms and chapel. We will also be washing

all the dishes and pots and pans in the commercial kitchen this year.

Friday evening dinner will be served at 6:00, three meals on Saturday and
two meals on Sunday. In exchange for your hard work and participation,
all meals and lodging will be at no charge. Lodging is on a first come
first choice basis – we do not take reservations for this particular weekend.
Please come to the dining hall to check in and choose your cabin.

To help us plan for food, please let us know by April. 26TH. Please look
at the camp’s list of needs and, if you can, bring an item for the camp.
